Theresa R Maroney's Obituary
Theresa R. Maroney, 85, of New Haven, died Saturday, December 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Edna (Ruch) Marks. She retired from Magnavox-Raytheon, Fort Wayne in 1998 after 30 years and later worked at Parker-Hannifin, New Haven where she retired again. Theresa was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She was also a member of the Quarter Century Club through Magnavox, the Paulding Eagles Lodge #2405, the New Haven Eagles Lodge #3164, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Adams Township Fire Department. She enjoyed gardening, camping, repairing things around the house with her husband, and playing solitaire and euchre. She is survived by her children, Fred (Becky) Maroney, David (Lori) Maroney, and Maggie North; son in law, Kenneth Sims; 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paul D Maroney; daughter, Peggy Sims; great granddaughter, Aliahna Maroney; siblings, Calvin “Bob” Marks, Erma Kaufman, and Mary Elizabeth Marks. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers Street, New Haven with Visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 704 State Road 930 E., New Haven. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Heart to Heart Hospice or Cancer Services of NE Indiana. The family invites guests to bring a Christmas ornament, to hang on her memorial tree during the visitations, at the funeral home.
