Theodore P. Hevel's Obituary
Theodore P. “Ted” Hevel, 77, of New Haven died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Dorothy Hevel. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. He was a US Navy veteran. Ted retired in 1988 from Navistar Corp. after 32 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly of New Haven; sons, Steve (Diahn) Hevel of Columbus, OH, Mark (Nancy) Hevel of New Haven, and Greg Hevel of Fort Wayne; siblings, Jack Hevel of Fort Wayne, Marlene Anderson of New Haven, and Diane McMahon of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his son, Scott Hevel in 1997.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven, with calling one hour prior to service. Father James Seculoff officiating. Calling is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a rosary at 3:00 p.m. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
