I can't remember when I first met Terry, but it had to be at least, if not more than 60 years ago. As the years went by, she became more of a second mother to me. In fact, I think she knew me better than my own family in some respects. When I started my journey to to accept who I was, Terry was there to help me through the struggles and got me to the point where I am the man I am today, and I will never forget her for that.
When Scott and I got married, She was right there in the front row, in the placed usually reserved for the mother of the groom. Since my own mother (and dad) had passed several years before, it was only fitting and proper that she was in that place. I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Although it had been a few months since I last saw her, I did think of her often. Now that the is no longer here in a physical sense, she will always have a special place in my heart forever.
