Ted Butt's Obituary
Ted Butt, 90, of New Haven, died Monday, February 19, 2018 at Parkview Hospital – Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late George and Hazel (Chapman) Butt. He was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, New Haven. He served his country in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Ted retired in 1992 from Wayne Pipe and Supply after 32 years. In his later years he enjoyed going on the New Haven Park Board bus excursions with his wife, Violet, and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Dale) Kohlmeier and Andra (Michael) Rosene both of New Haven; sister, Vera (Robert) Claus of Angola; and grandchildren, Erin Kohlmeier of New Haven, Zachary (Angela) Kohlmeier and Jonathan Rosene both of Fort Wayne, and Christopher (Jordan) Rosene of Los Angeles, CA; and two great granddaughters, Tori and Eliana. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Violet in 2012.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service and followed by military honors. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Calling is also 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to New Haven Park Board.
