Susan Kay "Susie" Bandt's Obituary
Susan Kay "Susie" Bandt, 73, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Lutheran Life Village Pine Valley, Fort Wayne. Born in Plymouth, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Holton and Dorothy (Hartman) Holland. An active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven, she volunteered for the alter guild and sang in the choir. She received her associates degree from International Business College in 1970 and retired in 2013 from East Allen County Schools after 43 years. Susan enjoyed reading, playing euchre, watching the Hallmark channel and loved Christmas.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tom; children, Adam (Sarah) Bandt and Andrea (Chris) Farmer; grandchildren, Oliver Bandt, Hayden, Nora and Matthew Farmer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Dee Ann, Doug and Jerry Holland.
Memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, at Emanuel Lutheran Church. 800 Green St, New Haven with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation is also 3 to 6 pm, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Inurnment at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Emanuel Lutheran Church or The ALS Association.
