Sue Ellene Johnson's Obituary
Sue E. Johnson, 89, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Seasons Home Care, Fort Wayne. Born in Edgerton, IN, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Helen (Clark) Glaze. She attended both Monroeville United Methodist Church and New Haven United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the New Haven Women’s Club. Among other positions, she was an administrative assistant at Pillsbury Company, Fort Wayne, for many years, and the New Haven Parks & Recreation Department. Sue enjoyed baking, reading, music, and dancing. She also looked forward to enjoying Winter months in Punta Gorda, Florida. She is survived by her daughters, Cathleen (Robert Helt) Huff, Julia (Ken) Russell, and Peggy (Dave) Bade; siblings, Lois Anweiler, Carol Newman, Kay (Doug) Deal, Larry (Inez) Glaze; granddaughters, Kaely (Garrett Bennett) Bade, Audrey (Jerad) Marks, Jelena (Luke) Maucher; 6 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Arlon Johnson; siblings, Alice Lindenmann, Jack, Charles, and Ray Glaze. Visitation is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven will be private. There will be a Memorial/Celebration of Life service at a later date. Preferred memorials are to Alzheimer’s Association, and the Shepherd’s House, Fort Wayne.
