Steven J. Unsicker's Obituary
Steven J. Unsicker, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Jacob and Emma (Heuberger) Unsicker. He served his country in the US Air Force and was a member of St. John Lutheran Flatrock Church, Monroeville. He was a lifelong farmer and could often be found helping others after his work was finished. He was a member of the Lions Club, Young Farmers, and John Birch Society. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring farm equipment and entering the hotrods he built into car shows.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donnalyn (Nord) Unsicker; children, Troy (Shani) Unsicker and Kelly (Anthony) Watkins; siblings, Dave (Dee) Unsicker and Mark (Patricia) Unsicker; and grandchildren, Tyler (Kristen) Unsicker, Megan (Rees) Richards, AJ Watkins, and Christopher Watkins. He was also preceded in death by his twin brothers, John and Leon Unsicker, and sister, Margaret Spangler.
Funeral service is 11 am Thursday, October 2, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Flatrock Church, 12912 Franke Rd., Monroeville with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Wednesday at the church. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials to the church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
