Steven "Slim" "Bubba" Montgomery III's Obituary
Steven Michael “Slim” “Bubba” Montgomery, III, 21, passed away suddenly Sunday, November 18, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Tammy Hord, who survives and the late Steven Michael Montgomery, II. He worked for Fort Wayne Transmissions out of high school. He also worked at the family business, Tammy’s Towing, Fort Wayne. He was known as an entrepreneur and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed Chevy trucks and antique motorcycles. “Slim”, especially enjoyed being with family and his infinite number of friends. He is also survived by his siblings, Alexandriea (Theodore) Ames of Zulu, Amanda Montgomery of River Haven, Jesse Hakes of New Haven, and Jamie Hakes of Monroeville; grandmother, Carol (Tom Gettys) Montgomery of New Haven; grandfather, Steven (Joy) Montgomery, I; aunts, Stephanie Montgomery and Melodee Dickerson both of Fort Wayne; uncle, Larry Dickerson of Fort Wayne; fiancé, Aubriana Muldoon of Fort Wayne; 5 nephews and 1 niece. “Bubba” also leaves behind many family members too numerous to mention. He is preceded in death by his father, Steven Michael Montgomery, II; grandparents, Glenna and Dennis Alexander. Funeral services are Sunday at 1 p.m. at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 East, New Haven with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to donor’s choice.
