Stephen A. "Steve" Pearson's Obituary
Stephen A. (Steve) Pearson, 67, of New Haven passed peacefully, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at home surrounded by family. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Basil and Lily Pearson. In 1999 he retired from the US Army Indiana National Guard as a Command Sergeant Major and served nearly 20 years in sales for Craft Laboratories, Ft. Wayne. Steve spent his retirement serving Central High School Alumni Association as President, bragging about his children, grandchildren and dog, Moo Moo, while serving the best cup of coffee in New Haven.
He is survived by his children: Rory (Amy) Pearson of York, PA; Russell Pearson of Los Angeles, CA; Kimberly San Nicolas of Fort Wayne, Carie (Dan) King of Upland; sisters: Pat (Don) Porter, Barbara Aurand both of Fort Wayne, Rita Stoffer of New Haven; brother, Phil (Kathy) Pearson of Fort Wayne; niece, Angela Brumbaugh; nephews, Jerry Lytle, Jeff Lytle and many more nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Pearson.
Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Calling is also Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Burial is in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne with military funeral honors by the Indiana National Guard Ceremonial Unit. Preferred memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
