Stan & Pam created a great family & have such good friends. He spoke of his daughters often and was so very proud of them & their kids. He was looking forward to helping take care of them. A good business man & neighbor. I recall him helping my brother Ted out numerous times after his neck injury.
I remember Stan as a good friend & a wholesome guy. So many fond memories. Basketball at Moser Park in New Haven & Shoaff Park in Fort Wayne, & Indiana Basketball camp the summer before our senior year, When my Dad passed during that camp, Stan was right there helping me cope. Then after high school we played together on a team that won the Fort Wayne Industrial Summer League (only 2 white boys on the team). Stan was a great shot. Weekends at his lake skiing & tubing. Spring break at the beach in Sarasota. Snow storms were great fun. We would drive around pulling out people who were stuck ($) then tie a rope to the hitch with a tube at the end & pull each other around (usually parking lots).
I once heard form a famous person (my Mom) that you can count the close friends in your life on one hand -- I think Stan was on a a lot of hands. We sure will miss you.
