Shirley Ann Bischoff's Obituary
Shirley Ann Bischoff, 87, of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Gertrude (James) Culver. She was a 1953 graduate at New Haven High School and enjoyed getting together with her classmates over the years. On June 27, 1954, she married the love of her life, George Bischoff, and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage and constant companionship. A founding and lifelong member of New Haven United Methodist Church since her youth, she continued to remain active for many years. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, having coffee with friends, reading, decorating for the holidays, walking and being outside. She was known for her warm personality, caring nature, and constant support for her family and friends. She had a warm beautiful smile for everyone she met. Those who knew her enjoyed her calm and gentle nature and cheerfulness.
She is survived by her children, Mike Bischoff of New Haven, Kathy Bischoff Talman of Clifton VA, and Mark Bischoff of Clio, MI; and ten grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George in 2020.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the New Haven United Methodist Church, Indiana.
