Shirley A. Baney's Obituary
Shirley A. Baney, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Parkview Hospital – Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Paulding, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Wilma (Lyon) Friend. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, New Haven. She was a past member American Legion Auxiliary Post 47, Fort Wayne. She retired in 1995 from Magnavox Corp. after 36 years. She enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Surviving are her sons, Robert (Sue) Byrd of New Haven and William (Marglo) Byrd of Tampa, FL; step-children, Dwane (Ann) Baney of Lexington, OH and Vickie (Bill) McEldwoney of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Jay in 2012; and son, Richard.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials to the church.
