Sheryll Vondran's Obituary
Sheryll Vondran, 79 of New Haven, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at St Anne Home & Retirement Community, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ida (Scherer) Linker. She was a lifetime member of Martini Lutheran Church, New Haven. Sheryll was very active at her church participating in Altar Circle, the Rummage Sale, and many other events. She worked as a salesclerk at the Georgetown Trustworthy Hardware Store, Fort Wayne, and later ran a day care at her home for over 25 years. She was a 1962 graduate of New Haven High School. She enjoyed sewing and was well known for designing wedding flowers and her photography. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Vondran; son, Lyle (Cassandra) Vondran; grandsons, Gabe Vondran and Eli Vondran; step-grandsons, William Kohrman and Isaac Kohrman; daughter-in-law, Judith (Rich) Kohrman. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Vondran in 1994; siblings, Thomas Linker and Paulette Gaffer. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at Martini Lutheran Church, 333 Moeller Road, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven, IN. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
