Sherri Marie Tholen's Obituary
Sherri Marie Tholen, 56, of Woodburn, was called home Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Born in Decatur, she was the daughter of Stanley and the late Lenora Jean McBride. She attended the Lifeway Wesleyan Church, Ft. Wayne. Sherri was a caregiver for several organizations throughout her career.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 37 years, Alan J. Tholen of Woodburn; children: Amy Marie (William) Simpson of Delaware, OH, Ryan Alan (Alexandra) Tholen of Angola, Jodi Lynn (Troy) Bailey of St. Clair Shores, MI, Jason Jon (Brittany) Tholen of Woodburn, Chad Charles (Rubi) Tholen of Ft. Wayne; father: Stanley Eugene McBride of Ft. Wayne; sisters: Vicki Jean (Garry) McBride-Spear of Wolcottville, Susan Renee (Mark) McBride-Creager of Woodburn; brother: Stanley Eric McBride of Ft. Wayne; Father-in-law: Charles Anthony (Margaret) Tholen of Glendale Heights, IL; Brother-in-law, Stephen Leslie Tholen of Glendale Heights, IL and grandchildren: Joel, Jaden, Michael, Sophia, Madison, Danielle, Joshua and Aiden.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lenora Jean McBride, sister: Debra Irene McBride; niece: Heather Jean Spear; mother-in-law: Margaret Alice Tholen and brother-in-law: David Charles Tholen.
Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moeller Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN with calling one half hour before service time. Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating. Calling is also 1 to 5 Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven . Burial is in I.O.O. F. Cemetery, New Haven.
