Sharon Jean Rorick's Obituary
Sharon Jean Rorick, 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fort Wayne she was the daughter of the late Wilmer “Pete” and Ethel Jeanette (McCarel) Richhart. She was a member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne and was a past president of The F.O.P. Auxiliary, Wayne Lodge 14. She was a published author with her selected poems in Windows of the World and she wrote the book “Forget Me Not.” She enjoyed painting, quilting, crafting, and fishing. She is survived by her children, Sherman G. (Sandie) Rorick, Denise (Jeff) Brewer, and Shellie (Jon) Disbro; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Gale Rorick; brother, Donald Richhart. Funeral service is Friday, January 10, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitations two hours prior. Pastor Dereck Fields officiating. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Heartland Hospice and St. Jude’s.
