Sandra Jean Hale's Obituary
Sandra Jean Hale, 67, of New Haven, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her residence with her family by her side. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late James and Teresa (Huguenard) Butt. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. Her faith was important to her, and she prayed the rosary every day with her prayer group. She enjoyed riding her bike and swimming. She especially loved attending all her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Sandra is survived by husband of 49 years, Mike Hale; sons, Jim (Angie) Hale, Jason (Whitney) Hale, and Josh (Amber) Hale; 11 grandchildren; father-in-law, Thomas Hale, and sister-in-law, Robin (Stan) Peters. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Loretta Hale; brother-in-law, Brent Hale. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 am Saturday, February 21, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitations are also 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, February 20, 2026, at Harpers’ Community Funeral Home 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven. A rosary service will follow at 8 pm. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials to St. John The Baptist Catholic Church.
