Ruth "Mootsie" F. Hockemeyer's Obituary
Ruth 'Mootsie' F. Hockemeyer, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at home with her family at her side. Born in Harbor Beach, Mich. she was the daughter of the late Otto and Clara Kutschinski. She was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne and served as a Stephen Minister. She retired in 1976 from Barrett & McNagny Attorneys with over 30 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Harold Hockemeyer; children, David B. Hockemeyer of Fort Wayne and Sandra (Richard) Klinkowitz of Greendale, Wis.; grandchildren Aaron (Sonia) Hockemeyer, Nathan (Erica) Hockemeyer, and Sarah Hockemeyer all of Fort Wayne; sisters, Lois Hitzeman of Fort Wayne and Vicki Sillivan of Calif..; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Richard and Gilbert Kutchins and Selma Kendall.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at Concordia Ev. Lutheran Church, 4512 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with calling from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to service. The Rev. Doug Croucher officiating. Entombment in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Concordia Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice.
