I was so saddened to hear of Ruth's passing and battle with cancer. I worked at FE in a different department but talked with her often. I lived not far from her and saw her one night when my husband was out of town and asked her to go out to supper with me and my toddler daughter. She probably thought I was crazy, but she said yes and we had a nice supper and I was thankful for the company. She was very nice and i am so glad she retired early and was able to travel. I wish I still lived in the area to have attended the memorial. Deepest Sympathies.

Lyle & Juanita, my deepest sympathies to you as well as to her many friends. We shared many wonderful times together - traveling to each others' homes throughout our careers, taking a trip to Ireland together and, most importantly, connecting each Christmas over lunch or dinner with Patty. Although we always lived miles apart for the last 40 years, there was always a connection that I valued. What a wonderful way for her to begin this year - in heaven! My condolences to Ruth's family. She was a very good friend and I fondly remember the vacations we share together and more recently the monthly adventures we shared. She will be missed.
