Ruth E.H. Benbenek's Obituary
Ruth E. H. Benbenek, 95, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Heritage Park, Fort Wayne. The Buffalo, New York native was the daughter of the late Elmer and Lillian Schultz. Ruth was a member of Grace St. John's United Church of Christ, Fort Wayne, and retired from J.C. Penney after 22 years of service.
She is survived by her children: Doris (Gene) Mann, of New Haven; Lawrence (Jeanne) Benbenek of Jacksonville, FL; Jeanette (Bruce) Watson of Loma Linda, CA, Patricia Nommay of La Mirada, CA; brother, Ronald (Nancy) Schultz of Marshall, Missouri; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1959; daughter, Suzanne Benbenek; son, David Benbenek and sister, Norma Rybarczyk.
Funeral service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at E. Harper and Son Funeral Home, 740 St.Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Rev. Larry Holderbaum officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, IN. Preferred memorials are to Grace St. John's United Church of Christ.
