Rudolf H. "Rudy" Stein's Obituary
Rudolf H. "Rudy" Stein, 95, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Woodview Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born in Ravenna, Nebraska he was the son of the late Frederick and Amanda Stein. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. The World War II Army veteran retired in 1981 from HWI Do It Best.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, LaVerne; daughter-in-law, Sandra J. Stein of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Alan (Stacy) Stein and Andrea (Joel) Harmeyer both of Fort Wayne; great grandchildren, Savannah and Katherine; and sister, Margaret Rekeweg of Churubusco. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald A. Stein; and three siblings.
Funeral service is at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Mark Neubacher officiating. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut-ins.
