Ruby O. Newbauer's Obituary
Ruby O. Newbauer, 84, of New Haven died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Parkview North Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Bryan, OH, she was the daughter of Henry and Orpha Krill. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven, their Altar Sodality, and a volunteer reading tutor at St. John’s School. Ruby retired from Lincoln National Life after 32 years of service, and was a member of their Loyal Service Club. She loved to travel and was active for many years at Harvest House.
She is survived by her son, Dr. John (Mary) Newbauer of Fort Wayne; Grandchildren: Matt (Sara) Newbauer, Mark (Geula) Newbauer, Beth Newbauer; five great grandchildren; brother, Henry Junior (Loreta) Krill of Bryan, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bernard, who died in 1992, and seven siblings.
Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, at E. Harper & Son Funeral, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Archbishop Peter of the Orthodox Catholic Church of America officiating. Calling is also 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 8:00 P.M. Burial is in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Masses at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or to the Community of the Cross.
