Rose Ann Eichman's Obituary
Rose Ann Eichman, 80, of New Haven, passed away on March 19, 2015. Born on July 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Snyder) Momper. From the age of one, after the death of her mother, Agnes, she was raised by her uncle and aunt, the late Jesse and Pauline (Snyder) Butt.
She married Thomas Eichman on January 8, 1955, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Haven, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Surviving are her children Laura (Steve) Gottfried of New Haven, Cinda (Denny) Metzger of Indianapolis, Thomas of New Haven, Brian (Joan) of Fort Wayne, Joseph (Helen) of Albion, and Julie (Kevin) Workman of New Haven, 36 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Charles (Jacquie) Momper of Fort Wayne, Jim (Teresa) Butt of New Haven, and sisters Teresa (Mike) Koch of Fort Wayne, Mary (Lou) Palmer of Vacaville, CA and Rita (Ron) Presdorf of Saline, MI.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Irene (Connie) Albert, Margaret (Herb) Berg and her brother Lewis (Barb) Momper.
She was a long-term member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Haven before joining Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1952.
A Requiem Mass will be offered at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4643 Gaywood Drive, Fort Wayne, IN, with her grandson, Father Gregory Eichman, FSSP, presiding. Calling is from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm (rosary at 8 pm) Tuesday, March 24, 2015 and 9 to10 am on Wednesday, March 25 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home 740 State Road 930 E, New Haven, Indiana. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are Masses.
