Rosalie Lowery's Obituary
Rosalie Lowery, 83, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Dr. G.A. and Fern Smith. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Niles, Mich. She was an elementary school teacher for over 42 years, mainly with East Allen County Schools and in Brown County, Indiana. She tutored and volunteered for many organizations.
She is also survived by daughter, Allison Goshorn of Niles, Mich; granddaughters, Gabrielle and Jillian Goshorn; sisters-in-law, Shirlee Smith of Fort Wayne, Margaret Smith of Illinois, Sharon Clay, Sharodene Morris and Darline Wallace all of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1985; sisters, Lois Nulf, Betty Lehman, Delight Grim and Felice Wehrenberg; and brothers, Robert Smith, Dr. Richard Smith, and Dr. Roger Smith.
Funeral service is noon Saturday, July 30, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Fran Lane-Lawrence officiating. Private burial is in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to 1st Presbyterian Church of Niles, Mich.
