Ronald Philip Rodenbeck's Obituary
Ronald Philip Rodenbeck, 90, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehab, Fort Wayne. He was the son of the late Edwin and Helen (Hooper) Rodenbeck. He was the Principle for St. Peter’s grade school in Joliet, IL and later moved to Fort Wayne in 1954 where he and his wife Lois both taught at Holy Cross grade school. Over his tenure at Holy Cross, Ron served as 6th grade teacher, Youth Director, Safety Patrol coordinator, coach of multiple sports, Athletic Director, Lutheran Sports League Chairman, and interim School Principal. Ron’s hobbies included cabinet making, photography, listening to classical music, bicycling, and walking his Cairn terrier. He is survived by his son, Al Rodenbeck of Fort Wayne; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Warnke) Rodenbeck in 2010; daughter, Carol, and brother, William Rodenbeck. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne with visitations one hour prior. Burial at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
