Ronald "Ron" P. Jennings' Obituary
Ronald “Ron” P. Jennings, 78, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Parkview Hospital – Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Andrews, he was the son of the late Howard and Ethel (Stoltz) Jennings. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven and the Holy Name Society. He retired from BF Goodrich after 35 years of service. An avid sports fan, he followed St. Francis and Notre Dame Football, Fort Wayne TinCaps, and was on the golf league at Lakeside. Ron always had a positive outlook on life. He was a caring and faithful man, who was dearly loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends. All who met him, loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol; children, Phil (Judy) Jennings of Butler, Tony (Holly) Jennings and Pam (Frank) Freeman both of Fort Wayne, Angie Pritchard of New Haven and Marta (Rob) Schebler of Batesville; siblings, Doug (Patty) Jennings of Galena, IL, Rick (Kelly) Jennings and Rosie Hill both of Huntington; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Kay Jennings in 1969; and brother, Ken Jennings.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation half hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil at 3:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials to Masses or Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
