Ronald W. Hoeppner, Sr.'s Obituary
Ronald W. Hoeppner, Sr., 72, of New Haven, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne after a three week battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Pleasant Twp., Allen County, he was the son of the late Fred and Lula Hoeppner, Sr. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Gar Creek, New Haven. Retiring in 2002 from B.F. Goodrich after 40 years of service, he also served his country in the Air National Guard. He was an avid gardener and his loving woodworking creations and his handyman/fix anything skills will be missed by everyone.
He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Beverly; children, Lisa (Don) Finch of Indianapolis and Ron (Amy) Hoeppner, Jr. of Greenfield; son-in-law, Blaine Guenin of Greenfield; grandchildren, Amanda and Connor Finch, Vivian, Grant, Wilson, and Laurel Hoeppner, and Gage and Clay Guenin; and siblings, Lucille (Richard) Busch of Waynedale, Dolores (Floyd) Herdman of Huntertown, Wilma Housholder of Kendallville, and Kenneth Hoeppner of Woodburn. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Guenin in 2011; and siblings, Vivian Hoeppner, Phyllis Dunfee, Carol Bixby, and Fred Hoeppner
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Gar Creek, 1910 N. Berthaud Rd., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Michael Blodgett officiating. Calling is also 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Preferred memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran Church – Gar Creek or Central Lutheran School.
