Roger D. "Buck" Ehle's Obituary
Roger D. "Buck" Ehle, 71, died suddenly and unexpectedly Tuesday, February 17, 2014 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Mervin and Loraine Ehle. The lifelong farmer was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Woodburn, the church choir, and the Board of Associated Churches.
Buck is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara Jane Ehle of Harlan; children, Alexandra (Phillip) Russell of Decatur, IL and Austin (Erika) Ehle of Mt. Pulaski, IL; and the grandchildren he loved so much, Sophia, Ashton, and Madelyn. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ann and brother, Kenny.
Funeral service is 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, 7616 Bull Rapids Rd., Woodburn with calling from 1 to 2:30 p.m. prior to service. Rev. James Teasdale officiating. Calling is also 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church.
