It is Jan 2021... I am just now seeing this and my heart is sad. Rod was always so fun to talk with (at ITT) because my Mom was from Stevenston, Scotland and I just loved hearing him talk. Such a sweet man. I am sorry for your loss.
Uncle Ronnie was my mom’s big brother, he always took care of her. Our families were very close growing up, i felt like we were a family with 8 children. I will never forget how compassionate he was, caring for his wife Mary through cancer treatment and hospice care. He inherited his empathy from his mother Mary Shaw, who showed us all how to be loving and patient with the sick. We have passed it on to our children. Love you, Uncle Ronnie. Will miss you!

It was always a pleasure to see Mr. V enter the library with a hearty laugh and delightful smile. I will miss his jokes and the treats he always had ready for us (usually a Werther’s hard candy). I had hoped to see Mr. V when we reopened and am saddened he will not be there to greet us on Monday. Heartfelt condolences to his family. I’m sure his absence will be felt deeply.
Will always remember uncle Ronnie fondly. He was a great example of how to be calm, caring, kind and a good person 🙏
One of the most endearing and lovely men I have ever known. He made everyone in our family feel like a part of his family the day we met. Such a wonderful man, God broke the mold on him! He will be sorely missed.
Our family(Schortgen) lived down the street from he and his family when I was in grade school...We rode the bus with his children to St. John"s every day and played in neighborhood together. . Lots of fun memories...Wonderful family .So very sorry for your loss. We lost our dad (Herbert)June 7th of this year.We will keep you in our prayers 🙏❣️️🙏❤️. Vicki Schortgen and family
