Roberta "Bobbie" Gordon's Obituary
Roberta “Bobbie” L. Gordon, 86, of New Haven, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Lucille (Bordner) Freiburger. She retired from HWI in 2000 with 25 years of service. Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Clear Lake where she spent her days reading, gardening, and feeding the hummingbirds. She loved Fort Myers Beach, IU basketball, gin and tonics, and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Karen) Gordon and Rick (Amy) Gordon; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren (with one on the way); also her furry friend, Lacey. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold in 2017; her son Jeffrey Gordon in 1984; and great grandson, Kolter Duncan in 2023. Funeral service is 4 pm Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home 740 State Road 930 E, New Haven with visitation two hours prior (2-4). She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Humane Fort Wayne and Diabetes Association.
