Roberta Mae Gerardot's Obituary
Roberta Mae Gerardot, 93, of Monroeville, passed way January 21, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side. Born in Monroeville, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Carol (Dager) DeWert. She was a long-time member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, New Haven. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and a good challenging puzzle. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, James Gerardot, David (Judy) Gerardot, and Dennis (Chris) Gerardot all of Monroeville; siblings, Allen “Wayne” (Brenda) DeWert, and William “Bud” DeWert both of Georgia, Karen “Sue” (Al) Lees and Mary Rolston both of Florida; brother-in-law, Gary Eldred of Michigan; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; 1 great great grandson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert E. Gerardot; son, Lynn E. Gerardot; grandson, Luke A. Gerardot; and 4 sisters. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at St. Louise Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven, with visitations one hour prior. Visitations are also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E, New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the Cancer Services of NE Indiana or Masses at the church.
