Robert Paul Stemmler's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Paul Stemmler, 76, of New Haven, died Monday, August 21, 2023, at home with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Paul and Marylinn (Bullerman) Stemmler. He was a man of strong faith and a past member of Emanuel Lutheran Church for 50 years. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Stemmler Insurance Agency for 30 years, retiring in 2014. Bob was a strong supporter of Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Fort Wayne and volunteered there weekly for nine years. He especially loved his time spent on Pretty Lake, where he also enjoyed bass fishing. He took great pleasure in his rescue cat, Carl.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn; children, Benjamin (Ashley) Stemmler and Emilee (Adam Moyer) Stemmler; brother, John (Annette) Stemmler; grandchildren, Lukas and Maylin Stemmler; and many brothers and sisters-in-law who loved him dearly. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Stemmler
