Robert A. Paterson's Obituary
Robert A. "Bob" Paterson, 87, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Allen County, he was the son of the late William and Hilda (Norden) Paterson. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. He served his country in the US Army National Guard. He retired in 2010 and was the owner of Paterson Do it Best for 46 years. An avid fisherman and wine maker, he also enjoyed flower gardening and cutting his own firewood. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty; children, Todd Paterson and Cathy (Douglas) Cooper; grandchildren, Amanda (Bill) Mattingley and Bradley Cooper; and siblings, Marie Melcher, Peggy (Nicholas) Lake and Barbara Rainey. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Dorlene Poling, Carol Kilpatrick, and Connie Howard. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2022, at Emanual Lutheran Church, 800 Green St, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
