Robert A McNeal's Obituary
Robert A. McNeal, 84, of Angola, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at home with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Henry and Eileen (Butler) McNeal. He was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, IN, and The Lake James Lutheran Chapel, Angola, IN. In 2000 he retired from McNeal & Associates, New Haven, where he was a manufacturers’ representative. He enjoyed horses, fishing, and playing the keyboard with his band The Teardrops. Bob also enjoyed spending time at the lake, boating, and going to Florida. He especially looked forward to spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren at family gatherings that he hosted.
He is survived by his children, Diana McNeal, Joell (Blaine) Stuckey, and Michael (Kelly) McNeal; sister, Barbara Cabral; granddaughters, Rachel (Zach) Schnetzler, Audrey (Ben) Fox, Anna (Nick Chao) Stuckey, Emma (Christian) Wilmer, and Eliza McNeal; great grandsons, Jackson Schnetzler and Mason Schnetzler; step granddaughters, Abigail, Natalie, and Caitlin Lary; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sharon (Oehler) McNeal in 2022; daughter, Karen Renee McNeal; sister, Marlene McNeal Amstutz.
Funeral service is 1p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation two hours prior. Burial in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Haven.
