Robert "Bob" Lowell Sims' Obituary
Robert "Bob" Lowell Sims, 83, of New Haven, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at home. Born in Odon, he was the son of the late Harvey and Ada Sims. He was a member of East Allen County Church of Christ. He obtained his Master's Degree in Agronomy from Purdue University. Bob retired in 1983 from Sohio after 16 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, La Donna; children, Dena Dodson, Steve Sims, Kenneth (Barbara) Sims, and Trudy (David) Dennison; step-children, RaShonda (Jared) Gibson, Kameelah West, Tod West, and RaSheetha West; sister, Ragene Sims; eight grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Sims; and siblings, Bonnie Thompson, Doris Lindquist, Lloyd Sims, Verlin Sims, and Harvey Junior Sims.
Memorial service is 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at East Allen County Church of Christ, 3800 Minnich Rd., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Everett Confer officiating. Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
