Robert "Bob" C. Carney's Obituary
Robert "Bob" C. Carney, 63, of Monroeville, died on Monday, February 13, 2012 following an extended illness. Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late George and Mary Carney. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church – Besancon, New Haven. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of American Legion Post #296. He owned Billy's Downtown Zulu for 25 years and was an avid Komet Hockey and Purdue University fan.
He is survived by his daughters, Angie (Bryan) Russell of Wilmington, NC and Jaime (Jerry) Slate of Fort Wayne; siblings, Michael Carney and Cindy (John) Roberson both of Fort Wayne; loving companion, Cheryl Voirol-Ort of Monroeville; and her children, Jason Voirol of Hoagland and Stephanie (Shawn) Parks of Woodburn; grandchildren, Kaylie, Gavin, Reece, Nathan, and Raegan; former wife, Pam Forbing of Fremont, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Janice Zaiser
Prayers will be 9:15 a.m., Saturday February 18, 2012 at E. Harper and Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church - Besancon, 15535 Lincoln Highway East, New Haven. Father Steve Colchin officiating. Calling is from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial is in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Masses or his grandchildren's education fund.
