Robert "Bob" Eugene Gustin's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Eugene Gustin, 70, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Otho “Jake” and Delores (Hissong) Gustin. The US Army veteran served his country in the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post 377, Woodburn, the Legion Riders, and VFW Post 5087, Antwerp, OH. He retired from BF Goodrich with over 25 years. The sports enthusiast liked to golf, bowl, ride his motorcycle, and spend time at his cottage on Turkey Lake. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Lance (Brian Stokes) Gustin of South Bend, Dale Gustin of Fort Wayne, Fredrick John (Jennifer) Gustin of Garrett, R.J. Motley of Woodburn, and Christina (Jason) Acosta of Woodburn; siblings, Cyrus (Norma) Gustin of Harlan, Virginia (Ernie) Good of Etna Green, Ione (Glen) Gorrell and Dorothy (Paul) Dietz both of Hicksville; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Gustin in 2002; son, Bradley Gustin; and granddaughter, Jesslynn Gustin.
Celebration of Life is 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at VFW Post 5087, 105 Railroad St., Antwerp, Ohio. Preferred memorials are to the family.
