Robert D Anweiler Sr.,'s Obituary
Robert “Bob” D. Anweiler Sr., 72, passed away on Friday January 19, 2018 at Parkview Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Manchester, NH, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Dorotha (Russell) Anweiler. Bob formed and retired from Anweiler & Associates accounting firm after 35 years. He was involved in the community through the New Haven Festival Committee as well as many other festivals around the area. After retiring, he took on the role of “Smokey” owning and operating Smokey’s Landing on Lake Wawasee until retiring for the second time. He enjoyed long mornings at New Haven Bakery discussing the affairs of the day and attending auctions looking for books. Bob was always good for a story and enjoyed talking with everyone.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roberta (Miller) Anweiler; sons, Robert D. Anweiler Jr., of Fort Wayne and Russell D. Anweiler of San Rafael, CA; sisters, Sharon (Greg) Shediack and Tina Adamonis both of Fort Wayne.
Visitations are from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Services are private. Memorials are to the charity of one’s choice.
