Ricky "Rick" Krauter's Obituary
Ricky “Rick” Krauter, 61, of Woodburn, passed away unexpectedly, and surrounded by his family, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was the son of Dan Krauter and the late Lorena “Carlyne” (Knapp) Krauter. Ricky enjoyed fishing, boating, tractor pulling and motor sporting events. Most of all, he was known as one of the most giving people you would ever meet. To know Rick, was to love Rick. He was a great friend and neighbor to all. Always willing to lend a hand and the shirt off his back. Rick would always greet you with a smile and a hello or “hello dear!”
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Rebecca “Becky” (Ladig) Krauter; children, Nick (Jen Metzger) Krauter, Ryan Gilford, and Rachel (Ronnie) Brock; siblings, Tim Krauter, Jody (Tim) Healy, and Sheila (Tom) Fett; grandchildren, Ryker Krauter, Ellce Krauter, Knoxton Krauter, Hayden Brock, Haylie Brock, Braxton Delagrange, Alexa Metzger, and Cayden Metzger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorena “Carlyne” Krauter in 2019. Memorial service is 5 pm Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., with visitations two hours prior (3-5 pm). Preferred memorials to doners choice.
