Richard D. "Dick" Miller's Obituary
Richard D. "Dick" Miller, 87, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Peru, he was the son of the late Donald and Marie Miller. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. The World War II Navy veteran retired in 1989 from Phelps Dodge after 42 years of service.
Dick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edith; children, Gary (Linda) Miller, Terry Miller, and Sharon (David) Crabill all of Fort Wayne, and Karen (Perry) Ehresman of Wolcottville; siblings, R. Dale Miller, Jim Miller and Barbara Allen; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia Goeglein and Don Miller.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Rev. Steve Ahlersmeyer officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
