Richard Eugene Crosley's Obituary
Richard Eugene Crosley, 88, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Garrett on August 9, 1930, he was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church. He served his country in the US Marines and was a member of American Legion Post 330, Waynedale Order of the Eastern Star, Dekalb Masonic Lodge #214 F&AM, and the Scottish Rite. He retired from the Indiana State Police Department and later from the American Red Cross. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren at Lake George. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret; children, Scott (Betty) Crosley of Cotopaxi, CO and Tamara (John) Brand of Burnsville, MN; and grandchildren, Matt and Jake (Mandy) Crosley, Wesley and Meredith Brand. He was preceded in death by his mother, Isabel (McDaniel) Romy; step-father, Bernard Romy; and infant brother, James. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Visitation is also 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Private burial in the IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
