Rhonda Jean Bruick's Obituary
Louisville Kentucky – Rhonda Jean Bruick, 67, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 14, 1956 and was the daughter of the late Dale and Barbara Weida. Rhonda attended New Haven, IN schools where she met her husband, David Bruick. After graduating from high school Rhonda and David met again at McDonald's restaurant where Rhonda was a manager and Dave was driving to college. They were married June 3rd, 1977 at New Haven United Methodist Church. Rhonda was active in high school because she was very sociable. She was a member of the Student Council, Student Congress, Sportsmanship Council, Concert Choir and German Club. Rhonda started working at the age of 14 at A&W Root Beer restaurant and by age 22 progressed her career to be next head manager at McDonald’s restaurants in the Fort Wayne market. This is when Rhonda started a family and became a very successful stay at home mom. Dave’s work took the family to Reno, Nevada for 7 years where Rhonda was a girl scout troop leader and was active in the children’s elementary school. The family moved back to Warsaw, Indiana in 1992 where Rhonda worked in the high school special needs department until moving to Louisville, Kentucky in 2004. Rhonda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Rhonda is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Bruick; children, Ryan Bruick, Lindsay (Michael) Feske, and Nicholas Bruick; two grandchildren, Oliver and Harrison Feske; sisters, Cindi Dalrymple and Kristine King. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at 4 P.M. Saturday, December 2, 2023 with visitations 3 hours prior (1-4 pm) at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 East, New Haven, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
