Regina F. DeCoursey's Obituary
Regina F. DeCoursey, 71, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at home. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rita (Buchtman) Barwiler. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She served her country in the US Army Women’s Corp and was a member of American Legion Post 330. She retired from Heritage Park Nursing Home in 2015. She was a proud, loving, and devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Mark) Milkowski of Warren, MI, Kimberly Lentz of Howell, MI, and Kevin (Kelly) DeCoursey of Fort Wayne; siblings, Rose Rita Sovine and Ramona Harber both of Fort Wayne, Robert (Pam) Barwiler and R. Tracy (Ronnie) Posey both of New Haven; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Dennis DeCoursey in 2011; son, Richard DeCoursey in 1970; and great grandson, Parker Huber in 2011.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m., Monday, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling a half hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a prayer vigil at 4:45 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery with military honors. Preferred memorials are to Masses.
