Raymond E. Nicodemus' Obituary
Raymond E. Nicodemus, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Towne House Retirement Community, Fort Wayne. Born in Jackson, Ohio he was the son of the late Robert and Lydia (Hoch) Nicodemus. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne. He received his associate degree at Ohio University and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in economics from Ohio State University. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1996 with over 30 years in the insurance industry. The dedicated OSU fan had a passion for traveling that led he and his wife to every continent except Antarctica and Australia.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue; children, Carolyn Lane of Fort Wayne, Greg (Kathy) Nicodemus of Los Angeles, CA, and Mark (Kate) Nicodemus of New Delhi, India; brother, Dr. Ralph (Nancy) Bauer of Novi, MI; and four granddaughters. He was also preceded in death by one brother; and one sister.
Memorial service is 3 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service and military honors. Chaplain Kris McPherson officiating. Preferred memorials are to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
