Ray Mayes' Obituary
Ray Mayes, 72, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Middlesboro, KY he was the son of the late Walter and Emeline Mayes. He was formerly employed at Flashfold Carton Corp.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Gidget (Will) Bodenheimer of Fort Wayne; step-children, Tammy Carpenter of Lafayette, and Sherman Ray Brown of Fort Wayne; brother, Earl Mayes of New Tazwell, TN; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Mayes in 1999; and brothers, Ted, Charlie, Hubert, Ralph, and Floyd.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling three hours before the service. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Ossian Health & Rehabilitation.
