Rachel M. Calhoun's Obituary
Rachel M. Calhoun, 86, of New Haven, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. A Burkhart, Ohio native she was the daughter of the late Windle and Louisa (Carpenter) Burkhart.
She is survived by children, Ralph M. Calhoun of Fort Wayne and Carol Ann (Jerry) Flowers of Columbia City; and grandson, Jason M. Calhoun of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Calhoun; brother, Alban K. Burkhart; and half-siblings, Mary M. Ritterbeck, Nona A. Schnelker, and Malvan Burkhart.
Per Rachel’s wishes, there will be no calling or services. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Whitley County Humane Society, 951 S. Line St., Columbia City, IN 46725.
