Phyllis Joan Wilson's Obituary
Phyllis Joan Wilson, 85, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at home. Born in Mongo, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Edna (Gochenaur) Haag. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and cheering for IU Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by children, Barbara (Vern) Lange of Wolcottville, Ronald Wilson of Lagrange, Judy (Dave) Gerardot and Rhonda (David) Sitko both of Monroeville, Michele Wilson of Fort Wayne, and Michael (Jayme) Wilson of Kendallville; twin sisters, Janet Miller and Jeannette Sisson both of Lagrange; sisters-in-law, Deloris Haag of Marcellus, MI and Geraldine Stephens of Fort Wayne; brother-in-law, Robert Wilson of Monroeville; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald Wilson in 2014; four brothers; and seven sisters. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 East, New Haven with visitation one hour prior to service. Chaplain Kris McPherson officiating. Visitations is Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Heartland Hospice.
