Phyllis "Joan" Nau's Obituary
Phyllis “Joan” Nau, 88, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018. Born in Poe, she was the daughter of the late Rheua and Chloe (Snyder) Valentine. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She was a homemaker, loved being outdoors, tending her perennial garden, spending time with her cat, and family vacations.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Ryan (Robert Goodnow) of Garner, NC, Deborah (Donald) Tinker of New Haven, and Jeffrey (Karen) Nau of Fort Wayne; sister, Pauline Miller of Harrisburg, PA; grandchildren, Jared, Cameron, Vincent and Jennifer; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul Nau in 2008; grandson, Kristopher in 2010; and sister, Evelyn Hilsmier.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling two hours prior to service. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
