Phillip Leslie Hanchar's Obituary
Phillip Leslie Hanchar, 78, of New Haven, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Michael and Jennette (Degitz) Hanchar. He was the owner and operator of Lakeside Construction Company, Fort Wayne. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, landscaping, target shooting, and visiting his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle McHenry and Jody Talarico; sister, Patty (John) Foster; grandchildren, Jennifer Weekly, Nicole (Jeremy) Moening, Nicholas Endris, Jade Falls, and Brooklyn McHenry; and great grandchildren, Aaliyah Shaffer, Aariyana Trimm, Addison Klotz, and Avynn Klotz. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Beth in 2009; and brothers, Michael, Randy, and David Hanchar.
Memorial service 2 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Huntertown Cemetery.
