Penny Sue Trzynka's Obituary
Penny Sue Trzynka, 72, of New Haven, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at home with her family by her side. Born in Elwood, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Ida (Aborn) Malston. She loved the Lord and was a member of Sovereign Redeemer Church, Truth Seekers Flock, and enjoyed playing music and hymns with the Organ Club. With a 40-year career as a registered nurse, she worked for Parkview Health for over 30 years as well as three different school corporations. She was a published author, writing poetry and children's books, and was a member of Summit City Scribes, SCBWI, and the Indiana Federation of Poetry Club. She enjoyed cooking, taking daily walks with her husband, caring for her flowers, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard; daughters, Beth (Marvin) Paschal, Sarah (Justin) Trzynka; sister, Margaret Malston; grandchildren, Aaron Paschal and Samantha, Gabriel, and Archer Tockey; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Cathy Malston and Linda Muratori.
Funeral Services is 11 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2024, at Sovereign Redeemer Church, 12732 Spencerville Rd, Harlan, with visitation one hour prior. Visitations are also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Harlan Memorial Cemetery.
