Peggy J. Smith, 70, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Marshall, MI she was the daughter of the late Dale and Maxine Kirkland. She retired in 2005 as a Vice President for Lincoln Financial Group. Read Obituary

I am sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of Peg and our times spent working closely together at Lincoln National. She always had that big smile on her face and we shared many laughs. May God grant you peace and love while you continue to rely on your wonderful memories in the days ahead.

We first met Peg because we would walk by her house in Stillwater and play with Daisy and Abner. Then we got our boxer, Munich, and we all became great friends. Some of our fondest memories were when we would sit on her patio sharing a bottle of chardonnay while our dogs would play...good times! Also, we liked to go to Satek winery and share a picnic lunch sometimes. We will miss her dearly. Keeping you, her family, in our thoughts and prayers.
We loved visiting with Peg and her pups when we took ours for a walk in Stillwater. What a lovely spirit she had! Peggy was such an inspiration and it was a joy to come to know her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you....
I just wanted to recognize that I have seen that Peg has passed. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. We were fellow employees as well as friends while working at First Federal Savings and Loan in Fort Wayne for many years. Peg was a delightful and fun friend. She was lovely, smart and professional. I always enjoyed her company and will remember her fondly. Please accept my sincere sympathy. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, knowing the days to come will be so sad and difficult for all of you.
